O. C. Jones & Sons traces its start to 1924, when Olin Clement Jones founded a small concrete placing firm in Berkeley, CA. Olin specialized in transporting and placing a new product, later to be known as ready-mixed concrete. He successfully ran his small company single-handedly for over twenty years.

Following the war, Olin was joined by his sons –Harold and Robert, and the company began to realize its potential. Under the leadership of Harold, O.C. Jones and Sons prospered and grew. The company expanded into new work disciplines and increased its geographical reach. Over the next few decades the company transitioned into concrete structures, grading, paving, and underground utilities. By the 1960’s, OC Jones was recognized as one of the most respected contractors in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.

During those same successful years, OC Jones became one of the first construction companies to make a concerted effort to attract and retain college educated engineers and professionals as regular members of their team. This has resulted in a strong management team with long term experience, and the ability to professionally and comprehensively manage complex and challenging projects.
Today, O.C. Jones & Sons continues to pursue contracting opportunities throughout the Bay Area. The company maintains its philosophy of seeking projects in this geographical area, where we are able to obtain the best materials, attract the most talented craftspeople, and build a team with responsible subcontractors. A large fleet of modern, well-maintained equipment is used to build a variety of projects.
